Schedule A Shadow Day Visit At OA

Shadow Day Visits are a great way for prospective students to experience Oldenburg Academy! Visiting students shadow OA students who share similar interests – participating in classes, meeting teachers and students, eating lunch, and seeing what a typical day is like on our college-like campus. Oldenburg Academy welcomes seventh grade, eighth grade, and transfer students to schedule Shadow Day Visits. We look forward to showing our shadow students the many opportunities that await them at Oldenburg Academy!

Oldenburg Academy welcomes students to shadow on the day that works best with their schedules. Shadow Day Visits are available throughout the school year. Contact Mrs. Annette Hunger, Admissions Director, at 812.934.4440 ext. 231 or ahunger@oldenburgacademy.org to schedule your Shadow Day Visit!

Preparing For Your Shadow Day Visit

What time should shadow students arrive?

Visiting students are asked to meet their host students in the school office (immediately to the left of the main entrance of Oldenburg Academy) at 8:15 am. Lunch will be provided for visiting students in the Twister Café, or they can choose to pack their lunch. We encourage shadow students to visit for the entire school day. Parents should plan to pick up their students at 3:00 pm in the school office.

What should shadow students wear?

Visiting students should wear casual clothing suitable for school. Jeans are permitted as long as they are not ripped or torn. Shoes must cover both the heel and toe. No sandals or flip-flops. No gum is allowed.
