OA Covid 19 Safety and Wellness
Oldenburg Academy plans to be open for on campus teaching/learning throughout the 2020-21 school year. Athletics and other extracurricular activities will take place according to IHSAA , Indiana Department of Health and CDC guidelines. OA has developed mitigation plans and procedures to reduce the risks of exposure to COVID-19 in accordance with the latest best practice guidelines from these same sources.
While at OA, please wear a face mask at all times, comply with posted social distancing directives (6 ft, one way signs, etc.) avoid handshakes and regularly wash your hands. Please cooperate with any additional requests from OA representatives for specific situations.
Before coming to campus for any activity or for any reason, please assess your own health as well as any minors you will be accompanying. If you experience 2 or more of the published COVID-19 symptoms or had close contact as defined by the CDC within the last 14 days with a medically diagnosed COVID-19 case, please do not come to campus or attend the activity. All visitors entering the school during school hours will be temperature checked upon entry just as our students, faculty and staff are each day.
OA makes health and safety a priority for all but COVID-19 by its nature spreads easily with the risk increasing in large public group settings. Even with the exercise of due diligence and the following of all CDC mitigation guidelines, the school cannot eliminate the risks of potential exposure by being on the OA campus and/or attending school sponsored events. All individuals participating in OA activities or entering campus do so at their own risk.
