Oldenburg Academy Announces ISTEP+ ECA Scores

Oldenburg Academy of the Immaculate Conception is pleased to announce their 2011-2012 ISTEP+ End of Course Assessment (ECA) results. Oldenburg Academy’s Algebra I pass rate was 96%, and their English 10 pass rate was 100%. The ECAs are a graduation requirement that must be met by every Indiana high school student. The tests are administered at the end of each school year.

"We are very proud of our students for their outstanding performance on the End of Course Assessments,” said Mrs. Joleen Lancaster, OA Guidance Director. “It is also a wonderful accomplishment for our teachers!"

“The purpose of the Indiana Statewide Testing for Educational Progress Plus (ISTEP+) program is to measure student achievement in the subject areas of English/Language Arts, Science, and Mathematics,” states the Indiana Department of Education website (www.doe.in.gov). “In particular, ISTEP+ reports student achievement levels according to the Indiana Academic Standards that were adopted in November 2000 by the Indiana State Board of Education. The ISTEP+ End of Course Assessments (ECAs) are criterion-referenced assessments developed specifically for students completing their instruction in Algebra I, Biology I, or English 10.”
